Thousands of people are expected to participate Saturday in a cycling event to raise money for Irvine Temporary Housing.
The ride, sponsored by the Irvine Assn. of Realtors, will begin at 8 a.m. at the Marriott Hotel, Von Karman Avenue and Jamboree Road.
Those entering the event will receive a T-shirt and water bottle, a bib number and food and refreshments along the course. Free drawings and entertainment are planned at the finish.
The event will feature a staggered start, based on the runners’ date of entry. A special drawing will be held for a free round-trip for two to Australia.
Registration is $23 at the event.
