Hearings on SDG&E-Edison; Merger Set
Public hearings on the proposed merger of San Diego Gas & Electric and Southern California Edison have been set for April and May at locations in San Diego, Chula Vista, Escondido and Vista.
The hearings, to receive oral and written public comment, have been scheduled by the California Public Utilities Commission in San Diego for April 23 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., and May 16 at 7 p.m. at the Shrine Temple, 5440 Kearny Mesa Road.
Hearings are also set for: Chula Vista, May 14, 7 p.m., City Hall Council Chambers, 276 4th Ave.; Escondido, May 15, 2 p.m., City Hall Council Chambers, 201 N. Broadway; and Vista, May 15, 7 p.m., Carpenters’ Hall Local No. 605, 353 E. Broadway St.
All locations are accessible to people in wheelchairs. Those who need special accommodations such as sign language interpreters should notify the commission’s public adviser at least five days before the hearing date. The public adviser can be reached at 238-2552.
