Toyota Exports Up; Nissan’s Slip: Japan’s largest auto maker, Toyota Motor Corp., posted a marginal year-on-year increase in exports for January while Nissan Motor Co. suffered a big decline, company executives said. Toyota’s exports rose for the first time in five months to 145,330 units, up 1.5% over a year ago, reflecting brisk demand in West European countries, executives said. Nissan, Japan’s second-largest car maker, marked a 35.8% drop in exports to 68,672 units during the same period, due to declining shipments to the United States and West European countries, Nissan executives said.
