Seven reputed gang members were arrested Friday in a series of police raids in Lennox, Walnut and West Covina that turned up stolen property and 11 weapons, including a World War II-vintage hand grenade, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said.
Deputies arrested the seven suspects, who included six men and a teen-age boy, while serving warrants stemming from an investigation into armed robberies and shootings, Deputy Gabe Ramirez said.
Among the property recovered in the raids in the areas was a 1989 Mercedes-Benz reported stolen in Los Angeles, deputies said. A small amount of cocaine was also seized.
