Victoria Principal will return to series television this year after inking a deal with Aaron Spelling Productions for an hourlong drama for ABC, Spelling announced today.
Principal will star in the yet-to-be titled series, which has a 13-episode network commitment. Principal will portray an investigator for the Los Angeles district attorney’s office, who is a divorced mother of a 13-year-old daughter. Production begins in mid-March.
Principal played Pamela for nine years on the CBS nighttime soap “Dallas,” and has starred in several made-for-TV movies, including “Mistress,” “Naked Lie,” and “Blind Witness.” Her latest, “Sparks: The Price of Passion,” will air on CBS Feb. 25.
“Since Aaron Spelling was responsible for my return to acting in 1978, I think that it is only appropriate and possibly destiny that I will be returning to series television in this wonderful project with Aaron,” said Principal.
