Arrest Warrant for Eddie Antar Issued: A federal judge issued an arrest warrant for Eddie Antar, former owner of Crazy Eddie Inc., a New York area retail electronics chain, after he failed to appear in court to account for $52 million in overseas bank accounts. The Securities and Exchange Commission has said the money may have come from the fraudulent sale of Antar’s interests in the now-bankrupt electronics chain. The court ordered Antar to return the money to the United States. The electronics retailer was known for its cut-rate pricing and aggressive television advertising before going bankrupt last June.
