Hot Line Set Up for Oil Spill Calls
Orange County officials Wednesday set up an information hot line on the oil spill. Information about the spill and beaches will be available by calling (714) 834-2331. Officials are asking that people stay off the beaches, however, so they don’t interfere with inspection and possible cleanup efforts.
Officials said volunteers may be needed if there are large numbers of affected wildlife, which will be brought to lifeguard headquarters at Lake Street and Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach.
