Orange Lutheran’s Parkinson Sets Mark With 6-Goal Game
- Share via
Freshman forward Amber Parkinson scored a county-record six goals in Orange Lutheran High School’s 10-0 victory over Brethren in an Olympic League girls’ soccer match Tuesday in Orange.
Parkinson, who has 30 goals this season, scored four in the first half and two in the second before leaving the game midway through the second half.
Parkinson’s six goals in a game ties her with four others for third place on the all-time Southern Section list. The Southern Section record for goals in a game is held by Shannon Maddock of Torrance, who had eight against Long Beach Wilson during the 1984-85 season.
