An attorney representing Drake University basketball players said the players would neither practice nor play for Drake as long as Tom Abatemarco is coach. Larry Marcucci, after a five-hour meeting with players and a three-member committee, said the players allege verbal abuse from Abatemarco.
The players boycotted practice for the second consecutive day. It is not known whether Saturday’s game with Wichita State will be played.
