Coca-Cola Co.: The soft drink giant’s fourth-quarter earnings more than tripled to $757 million from a year ago, reflecting a huge one-time gain from the sale of its stake in Columbia Pictures Entertainment Inc. in November. Revenue totaled $2.25 billion, up 11%. For 1989, the Atlanta firm’s profit jumped 65% to $1.72 billion on revenue of $8.97 billion, a gain of 8%.
