A migrant worker was shot to death in his makeshift shack Thursday night, apparently after an argument with a friend, who was arrested on suspicion of murder.
Pablo Yanez was found dead of a gunshot wound in the chest in a grove south of the 3100 block of Summit Drive, after his alleged assailant, 36-year-old Jose Tavera, telephoned the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department to report the incident, Sheriff’s Sgt. Manny Castillo said.
Tavera, also a laborer, was arrested without incident.
