NATION : 5.2 Quake Jolts Alaska Region

WASHINGTON — An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 occurred today near McGrath, Alaska, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The epicenter was about 30 miles southeast of McGrath, and the quake was felt strongly in the McGrath area, according to the survey. Numerous quakes have occurred in this southwest central region in the past, it said.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injury.
