Employers Warned About Dropping Maxicare: Maxicare Health Plans Inc. said the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Santa Ana reaffirmed a March 17 order barring employers from “improperly” dropping the Maxicare plan while the health maintenance organization is reorganizing under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. The company said the court reaffirmed its position because some employer groups have continued to ignore the order, depriving the company of revenue and denying “some of our members the services we provide.”
