Grady Named College Board President
Dan Grady was elected president Tuesday night of the San Diego Community College District Board of Trustees for 1990. Evonne Schulze was named vice president.
Grady, a La Jolla resident who heads a real estate consulting firm, will be assuming the post for the fourth time since beginning service on the board in 1973.
Grady said that among the issues facing trustees next year will be crowding at Mesa College, now with 28,000 students; development of the city’s new civic center complex next to City College and the attempt to get more state money to expand adult literacy and English-language programs to handle more students under federal amnesty legislation.
