Bill Stout was more than a talented broadcast newsman. He was one of the few broadcasters who bridged the transition from print reporting to radio and television.
When the history of broadcast news is written for Los Angeles, Bill should have a full chapter.

Stout, a commentator for KCBS Channel 2, died in Los Angeles Dec. 1. In 1987, he suffered a major heart attack.
