HELP WANTED: Washington’s John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts will need a new chairman in 1991, but Thomas R. Kendrick, head of the Orange County Performing Arts Center, has no comment on whether he’s a candidate. . . . A top administrator there before coming West and a longtime pal of Kennedy Center founder Roger L. Stevens, Kendrick is working on a one-year extension of his original four-year contract here.
