Cordero Guides Whodam to an Easy Victory at Aqueduct

NEW YORK — Robert J. Bauer’s Whodam carried 115 pounds and Angel Cordero Jr. to an easy, front-running 6 1/2-length victory Monday in the $50,000 Bold Discovery purse for horses 3 years old and up at Aqueduct.
Yurtu (122-Eddie Maple) edged Conquilot (122-Jerry Bailey) by a neck for the second spot.
The victory was the sixth in 17 starts for Whodam who covered a mile on the fast track in 1:36:1 to earn $30,000. The winner returned $4, $2.40 and $2.10 as the favorite. Yurtu paid $2.60 and $2.10 and Conquilot returned $2.10.
