Granada Hills Man Wins $1 Million
A Granada Hills man won $1 million in the California State Lottery’s Big Spin on Saturday. Now, he said, he wants to strike gold.
Chris Richardson, 39, owner of a factory that manufactures caps for chimneys, bought the winning ticket at Leon’s liquor store in Pacoima. He said he plans to spend part of his prize money on prospecting gear so he can dig for gold in the California desert.
“Oh, I plan to go out on the weekends, see what I can find,†Richardson said.
A lottery spokesman said Richardson is the first Granada Hills resident to participate in the Big Spin.
