ANAHEIM : Help Offers Pour in for Abandoned Baby
Officials at Humana Hospital-West Anaheim said they have received dozens of calls from people wanting to help a newborn baby who was abandoned near a dumpster behind an Anaheim liquor store earlier this week.
Marty Coker, a hospital spokeswoman, said Thursday that callers have offered to donate clothing and other items for the 4-day-old boy. Some people had even inquired about adopting the child, she said.
Nurses, who named the baby “Timmy†after he was brought to the hospital by Anaheim police Monday night, have placed a small box near the hospital’s gift shop for public donations.
