Property Tax Bill
I have lived in my present condominium for 15 months and have not yet received my first property tax bill. After visiting the local tax assessor office in West Covina, I found that my property has not been segregated and therefore cannot be assessed for taxes. I also found that there are about 80 other condos in my complex that have not been segregated for tax purposes. Some of these people have lived in their condos for 18 months without paying the county any property taxes.
I have called the assessor’s office in Los Angeles many times about this, but nobody is interested in the problem. I finally sent a registered letter to John Lynch (tax assessor) but I still have no reply. I can only assume that Los Angeles County does not need this tax money. How can the county be so negligent?
