Property acquired: St. Joseph Hospital said it has leased property adjacent to its existing 519-bed facility in Orange to build a 200,000-square-foot medical office building, which will include outpatient services and physician offices.
The $40-million project is expected to be completed in three years.
It will be built on land leased from Center Associates, a firm owned by Los Angeles businessman Irwin Daniels. At the end of the 10-year lease, the hospital will have an option to purchase the land, said St. Joseph spokesman Dennis Gaschen.
