Four Southeast area prep football teams remain undefeated. Glenn (7-0) beat Bellflower, 31-20. South Gate (6-0) defeated Fremont, 34-8; Valley Christian (7-0) downed Corona Centennial, 63-14; and Whittier Christian (7-0) beat Orange Lutheran, 26-7.
Whittier High defeated Santa Fe, 14-0, last week for its fourth consecutive Whitmont League victory.
Norwalk’s Chuck Stafford caught three touchdown passes and intercepted two passes as the Lancers beat La Mirada, 21-16, in a Suburban League game.
Gahr is in first place in the San Gabriel Valley League for the first time in eight years after upsetting Dominguez, 21-19.
Who’s Not
Pius X, a 36-0 loser to Verbum Dei, has been shut out in five consecutive games. The Warriors (0-7) have scored only 18 points this season and are giving up 43 a game.
Dominguez High was penalized 13 times for 126 yards and blew a 19-0 lead in a 21-19 loss to Gahr.
St. Anthony gave up 375 yards and made only four first downs in losing, 52-6, to Serra of Gardena.
Compton has lost three games in a row after a 7-6 defeat at Wilson. The Tarbabes (1-5) had two passes intercepted and also missed an extra point and a field goal attempt.
Pioneer’s 38-0 loss to El Rancho was the seventh straight for the winless Titans.
