* Summit Health Ltd. named Donald J. Amaral as president and chief operating officer of the Burbank-based operator of hospitals and other health-care facilities.
Amaral, 37, had been chief executive of Mediplex Group, a unit of Avon Products, and formerly held senior financial posts with National Medical Enterprises’ hospital group.
