Burbank 18, Burroughs 43--J. J. Houle (17:31), Jose Mier (17:33) and Mike Sanchez (17:33) finished first, second and third to lead the Bulldogs (2-2) at Griffith Park.

St. Francis 17, Alemany 38--Senior Eric Franken timed 18:37 to lead St. Francis (2-5, 1-2) to its first Del Rey League win.

San Fernando 15, Cleveland 48--The defending Northwest Valley Conference champion Tigers swept the first five places at Pierce College.

Girls’ Cross-Country

Hart 17, Schurr 43--Sophomore Anjanette Dionne and junior Laura Hunter each timed 22:50 to pace Hart (4-0) in a Foothill League meet at College of the Canyons.

Kennedy 17, Granada Hills 44--The Golden Cougars won their 49th consecutive league dual meet at Pierce College.

Girls’ Volleyball

Agoura d. Nordhoff, 12-15, 14-16, 15-9, 15-6, 17-15--Host Agoura (8-3, 6-0) rallied from a two-game deficit in a Frontier League match. Agoura’s Christy Janssen recorded 34 kills and six service aces.

Thousand Oaks d. Channel Islands, 15-2, 15-0, 15-10--Aimee Stone and Holly Hughes combined for 10 kills for the 4-A Division’s top-ranked team in the Marmonte League match at Thousand Oaks.

Notre Dame d. Chaminade, 15-6, 15-10, 11-15, 15-6--Jill Howden had six kills and 17 assists to lead Notre Dame (8-4, 5-1) to a San Fernando Valley League win.

La Reina d. Oak Park, 15-8, 15-8, 15-12--Carolyn Russo led La Reina (10-1, 8-0) with 13 kills in the Tri-Valley League match.

Birmingham d. Reseda, 15-3, 15-9, 15-1--Sacha Klein and Jennifer Baldwin had seven kills each for Birmingham (8-2, 6-0) in a Valley Pac-8 Conference match.

Sylmar d. North Hollywood, 15-10, 15-10, 15-12--Yolanda Beller had six kills and five aces and Tobie Fuller had 22 assists for Sylmar (7-3, 3-3) in a Valley Pac-8 match.

L. A. Baptist d. Village Christian, 15-7, 15-6, 15-8--Andrea Lucadam had 11 kills for the Knights in a match for first in the Alpha League.

Burroughs d. Hart, 15-9, 15-12, 13-15, 15-7--Dana Delmatoff led Hart with seven kills in a Foothill League match at Burroughs.

Louisville d. Bell-Jeff, 15-4, 15-9, 15-7--Mary Hudson had 10 kills to lead the Royals in a San Fernando Valley League match at Louisville.

Cal Lutheran 2, Cal Baptist 0--Jeff Dietrich scored on a Larry Gidley assist and Bret Bechthold scored on an assist from Dave Rinehart for Cal Lutheran.

West Texas Intercollegiate golf tournament--Cal State Northridge’s golf team is 12th out of 17 teams, 21 strokes behind leader Texas Tech, after the first round.
