Three months after contending that stress led to her husband’s death, the widow of South Carolina football coach Joe Morrison has withdrawn without explanation a worker’s compensation claim.
JeVena Morrison can refile her claim at any time. Her claim, filed in July, said that the stress of being football coach caused her husband’s death. Morrison, 51, who had a history of heart problems, died Feb. 5 of a heart attack after playing racquetball.
