PREP ROUNDUP : La Quinta Wins in Water Polo, 11-6

Goalkeeper Steve Fairchild had 15 saves and Zac Wood had seven goals to lead La Quinta High School’s water polo team to an 11-6 victory over host Huntington Beach in a nonleague match Monday.

In nonleague girls’ tennis:

Capistrano Valley 13, Laguna Hills 5--Page Bartelt swept her sets, 6-2, 6-2, 6-1, and the doubles team of Angie Arias and Farrah Tierney also swept, 6-4, 6-4, 6-1 for host Capistrano Valley (12-0).

Miraleste 12, Fountain Valley 6--The Barons lost at home.
