Colombian Is Refused Bail on Drug Charge

MIAMI — One of three Colombians extradited to the United States on drug charges during the weekend was ordered held without bond Monday, more than six years after her indictment.
Ana Rodriguez de Tamayo, 50, appeared before U.S. Magistrate Peter Palermo under heavy security. She is charged with conspiracy to import cocaine and conspiracy to possess cocaine with intent to distribute. If convicted on both counts, she faces up to 30 years in federal prison and $50,000 in fines.
