“The Bear†is on the presidential agenda for this weekend. President Bush has requested a print of the animal-adventure film for a weekend showing at Camp David. Based on the novel “The Grizzly King†by James Oliver Curwood, “The Bear†is a joint French-U.S. venture about a wounded male Kodiak bear and an orphaned cub struggling to survive. “The Bear†will be delivered to Camp David by Tri-Star Pictures, which is distributing the film in the United States and Canada. The film opens Oct. 25 in Los Angeles.
