Paul E. Sago, who resigned recently as president of Azusa Pacific University, has been named president of Woodbury University in Burbank.
Sago, 58, will take over in January as president of the 105-year-old Woodbury, interim President Jacqueline Powers Dodd said last week. Dodd will return to her position as vice president of academic affairs and dean of faculty.
Woodbury moved to Burbank from Los Angeles in 1987. About 1,000 students attend the university, which offers courses in business, computers, architecture and graphic design.
Azusa Pacific is beginning a search for a replacement for Sago, board Chairman Ted Engstrom said.
