Brightmon Leads Las Vegas Over Pacific

LAS VEGAS — Darin Brightmon rushed for 211 yards in 22 carries and scored two touchdowns to lead Nevada Las Vegas to a 30-7 victory over Pacific Saturday night in a Big West Conference game.
Las Vegas (3-2 and 2-1) took a 13-7 lead into the second half and proceeded to shut down Pacific (1-5 and 1-3).
Todd Amrein kicked a 39-yard field goal in the third quarter for the Rebels to make it 16-7, and Brightmon and quarterback Derek Stott each scored on one-yard runs in the fourth quarter.
Running back Marvin Eastman scored UNLV’s first touchdown on a two-yard run with 2:38 remaining in the first quarter.
