ICN Biomedicals reported net income of $1.9 million for the third quarter ended Aug.31, 26.6% higher than the $1.5 million posted for the like period last year. Sales for the three months ended Aug.31, rose 3.8%, to $13.5 million from $13 million. For the first nine months of the year, net income increased to $4.4 million from $3.5 million for the comparable period a year ago. Sales rose to $40.6 million from $37.6 million. ICN Biomedicals, Costa Mesa, develops and produces biotechnology research and clinical diagnostic products.
