Clark Scores Twice; Foothill Rolls Past Woodbridge
Senior Greg Clark scored two touchdowns to lead Foothill High School to a 25-6 victory over Woodbridge Thursday in a nonleague football game at Irvine.
Clark had four catches for 55 yards, and Sean Saunders scored one touchdown and rushed for 85 yards on nine carries for Foothill (1-1).
Foothill took a 3-0 lead on a 44-yard field goal by Kent Donnelly in the first quarter. Clark then caught a nine-yard touchdown pass from quarterback John Shanahan with 7:20 left in the half to give Foothill a 10-0 lead. Shanahan connected with Clark on an eight-yard pass with 5:47 left in the second quarter for a 16-0 lead. Donnelly hit a 33-yard field goal with 7:32 left in the third quarter to make it 19-0.
Woodbridge (1-1) scored its only touchdown when Steve Masters returned an interception 30 yards for a touchdown with 2:27 left.
