From Associated Press
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The mayor of Parkin, Ark., pleaded innocent Tuesday to federal cocaine charges.
“He didn’t do it,” defense attorney John Henry said of Mayor Tommy Voyles, 43, who has remained in office and on the job in Parkin, a town of 2,000 about 25 miles west of Memphis, Tenn.
Voyles was arrested a week ago on an eight-count federal grand jury indictment.
