Whittaker Sells Battery Group: Whittaker Corp. of Los Angeles, which has been undergoing a complicated reorganization that will result in a much smaller company, has agreed to sell its Battery Group to a group led by the management of the unit. The sale, which is part of Whittaker’s previously announced divestiture program, involves the Yardney Power Systems and Power Storage Systems businesses and is subject to the negotiation of a definitive agreement and other conditions. The value of the sale were not disclosed.
