S&L; Manager Charged With Embezzlement: A former San Francisco savings and loan branch manager has been charged with embezzling $3.47 million from customers’ deposits over more than four years, authorities reported. Richard A. Mariucci, 30, was arrested by the FBI at his home in the Riverside County community of Rancho, said U.S. Atty. Joseph Russoniello. He released a 29-count indictment against Mariucci that was returned late last week by a federal grand jury. Mariucci managed a San Francisco branch of Gibraltar Savings & Loan from 1985 to April, 1989, when he was fired for reasons unrelated to the embezzlement investigation, the FBI said.
