ABC News says its long-planned special, “Black in White America,” will air Aug. 29 at 10 p.m. The program was made by a predominantly black staff, including correspondents Carole Simpson, George Strait and Charles Thomas. ABC had not officially set a date for the program until Monday. It was considering Sept. 7--until last week, when NBC News set Sept. 5 and 6 as the air dates for “Racism,” its own two-part, prime-time news special on racism in America.
