Cool Autos and Warm Debate
I just read an article about the bill that Vasconcellos plans to introduce. He sees these units as luxury for those who are too pampered to endure the summer’s heat.
I have multiple sclerosis, and the summer’s temperatures are a hazard I just try to accommodate each year. The only respite is an air-conditioned home and car. Without these devices I could not work, and I would be housebound--or even hospitalized.
Although I appreciate Vasconcello’s concern about the environment, I disagree that air conditioners should be viewed as a disposable amenity.
