Quayle will address the bipartisan group today and also participate in a round-table discussion with the governors before leaving for San Diego.
On Sunday, Quayle attended a reception for Sen. Pete Wilson (R-Calif.), who has announced plans to run for governor. The fund-raising event was held at a Long Beach aerospace testing firm.
The vice president also met with the 1989 U.S. Academic Decathlon championship team from Taft High School at a Beverly Hills restaurant.
Quayle will have breakfast this morning with a group of major Republican supporters before addressing the governors at the Long Beach Hyatt.
