Milli Vanilli, the red-hot foreign dance-music duo, entered Billboard magazine’s pop Top Five--at No. 5--with their first album. Two hit singles, including recent No. 1 “Baby Don’t Forget My Number,†fueled the album’s quick trip up the pop chart. Fine Young Cannibals’ “The Raw and the Cooked†is No. 1 for the seventh week. Prince’s “Batman†sound-track album vaulted up to No. 7 after just two weeks, climbing even faster than his “Batdance†single (No. 6). In a week or two, both could be No. 1. White Lion’s new one, “Big Game,†is roaring up the chart, reaching No. 33 in just three weeks. “Tin Machine,†the album by David Bowie’s new group Tin Machine, doesn’t have much staying power. It shot up to No. 28 before starting its decline, slipping to No. 39 after only six chart weeks. The new No. 1 pop single is Simply Red’s “If You Don’t Know Me By Now.â€

* This sound-track album, a rapidly rising No. 24, is just about as hot as the “Ghostbusters II†movie Bobby Brown’s single, “On Our Ownâ€--another creation of producers-composers L.A. Reid and Babyface--is No. 12 and part of the reason for the success of the album.
