2 Accused of Extortion in Missing Student Case
From United Press International
FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Two men who allegedly demanded $220,000 to reveal the whereabouts of a college student missing since February were arrested on extortion charges, the FBI said Thursday.
Efrain Enrique Villali, 30, and Joseph A. Stahl, 39, were arrested Wednesday as they were calling Patrick Sessions from a Ft. Lauderdale phone booth, claiming to know the whereabouts of his daughter Tiffany, FBI spokesman Paul Miller said. Investigators believe the call was actually a ruse and the men did not know the location of the woman.
