RJR Nabisco Inc., New York, has elected four new directors, including Vernon E. Jordan Jr., former president of the National Urban League.
The two outside directors elected were Jordan, who is a partner in the Washington law firm Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, and John G. Medlin Jr., chairman, president and chief executive of First Wachovia Corp.
Also elected were H. John Greeniaus, president and chief executive of Nabisco Brands Inc., and James W. Johnston, president and chief executive of R. J. Reynolds Tobacco USA.
Jordan previously served on the RJR Nabisco board from 1980 to February, 1989, and Medlin served on the board from 1983 to April, 1989.
