Driver Dies in Crash; Heart Attack Suspected
A North Hollywood man was killed Monday morning when he lost control of his car and crashed into a utility pole on Ventura Boulevard, Los Angeles police reported.
Francisco Jimenez, 59, may have had a heart attack before the 5:30 a.m. accident in which his westbound car veered to the right and into a power pole in the 12700 block of Ventura Boulevard in Studio City, police said.
Jimenez was taken to AMI Hospital of North Hollywood where he died about 6:30 a.m., officials said. The accident is under investigation.
