Datametrics Loses $623,277 in 2nd Quarter

Datametrics posted a loss of $623,277 in its second quarter that ended April 30, compared with a profit of $648,141 in the year-earlier period. Sales for the latest quarter increased about 1% to $7.2 million.
For the six-month period, the Chatsworth producer of high-speed printers for the military posted a loss of $1.9 million compared to a profit of $1.2 million a year earlier.
The company attributed its loss in part to a new manufacturing system.
