Costa Mesa : Man With Knife Robs Clothing Store of $150
An unidentified man armed with a fillet knife stole $150 Tuesday from a Costa Mesa clothing store, authorities said.
The man walked into Pacific Eyes and T’s, 1835 Newport Blvd., brandished the knife and ordered the lone clerk to open the cash register, said Lt. Sam Cordeiro of the Costa Mesa Police Department. The man then grabbed the money, told the clerk to go into the back room and left the business on foot in an unknown direction.
The robber was described as a white male with a tan, 6 feet tall, about 175 pounds and 25 to 28 years old.
He is possibly the same man involved in two or three similar robberies in the city within the past month, Cordeiro said. Police have no leads, he said.
