North Hollywood Man Found Shot to Death
A fast-food restaurant manager was found shot to death early Monday in an alley behind a Woodland Hills shopping center about a mile from his workplace, Los Angeles police said.
Investigators had no suspects and no motive in the slaying of Cesar Reyes Calderon, 31, of North Hollywood, Detective Patrick Conmay said.
Calderon was night manager at a McDonald’s Restaurant at 22611 Ventura Blvd., where he left work at 1:20 a.m. Monday in his car, Conmay said.
About an hour later, police were called to the alley behind the El Camino Shopping Center at Mulholland Drive and Avenue San Luis by people who had heard gunshots, Conmay said. Calderon, an immigrant from the Philippines, had been shot several times in the upper body, the detective said.
