Tracy Murray of Glendora High School and Mitchell Butler of North Hollywood Oakwood High will lead a 13-member basketball team that will play a Soviet Union national junior team May 14 at UC Irvine.
Joining Murray and Butler, both of whom will attend UCLA next fall, are Kent Bennett of L.A. Manual Arts; Terry Cannon of L.A. Crenshaw; Cherokee Parks of Huntington Beach Marina; Mike Frohn of Huntington Beach Ocean View; Adonis Jordan of Reseda Cleveland; Zan Mason of Westchester; Idris Jones of Pasadena High; Dylan Rigdon of Santa Ana Mater Dei; Byron Russell of San Bernardino; Ed Stokes of Playa del Rey St. Bernard, and Rick Swanwick of Mission Viejo Trabuco Hills.
The game, which will begin at 7 p.m., is part of the Soviet national junior team’s tour of the United States. The tour is being sponsored by the United States Amateur Athletic Union.
