Japan’s Top Taxpayer Antes Up $51 Million

TOKYO — A Lebanese businessman has topped the list of Japan’s biggest taxpayers with a record income tax payment of $51.5 million.
The tax was paid by Abdel Hadi Debs on the sale of a block of land in Tokyo last year, a government official said Monday.
