Ford Offers New Service: Ford Motor Co. said it had jumped into the growing quick oil-change business, a move that could affect thousands of similar small businesses nationwide. Like the smaller, stand-alone oil-change operations, no appointment is necessary, the work will be done within 15 minutes and will cost about $20. Ford’s pilot program began last June with five dealers in Chicago and expanded to 25 nationwide in October. Ford expects the program to grow to about 35% of its 5,600 Ford and Lincoln-Mercury dealers in the United States.
