P.M. BRIEFING : Fiat Makes Import Pact With Mazda

TOKYO — Mazda Motor Corp. today announced it has reached basic agreement with Fiat Auto SpA to import and market Fiat’s Lancia cars in Japan.
The Lancia cars will be sold through a new dealership called “Autozam,†to be established in June, a Mazda spokesman said.
Mazda now sells Ford Motor Co. cars through their joint “Autorama†dealerships. Ford holds about a 25% stake in Mazda.
