IN BRIEF : Braves Buy Eichhorn From Blue Jays

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — The Atlanta Braves today purchased relief pitcher Mark Eichhorn from the Toronto Blue Jays for the $50,000 waiver price, General Manager Bobby Cox announced.
Eichhorn, 28, was 0-3 with a 4.19 ERA and one save with the Blue Jays last season and 4-4 with a 1.17 ERA with two saves at Syracuse of the International League. The right-handed submariner, however, was 14-6 with a 1.72 ERA and 10 saves with Toronto in 1986 as a rookie and was 10-6 with a 3.17 ERA and four saves in 1987 with the Blue Jays.
